| The World's Greatest Rock n Roll Band - and they keep proving it over and over again. The Stones were formed by blues purest, guitarist and harp player Brian Jones in 1962. Success came to the Stones quickly as they transformed from a blues band to a rock band. In the coming years the Stones would experiment with just about every kind of rock music out there. It was Jones and Keith Richards who wrote the blueprint for rock guitar weaving. Richards would become known as one of rock's best rhythm guitar players. Bill Wyman & Charlie Watts gave the band one of rock's best rhythm sections. So, with all that and Mick Jagger too - the band quickly rose to the top. Jagger took over as the band's leader and front man. His stage presence was unlike his contemporaries and the fans just love him. |
