If anyone thought mainstream rock went out of style, apparently they failed to hear Nickelback, the Canadian
quartet that took the world by storm in 2002 with the omnipresent anthem, "How You Remind Me." This
melodic hard rock band was formed in 1996 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, by brothers Chad
Kroeger and Mike Kroeger, their cousin Brandon (drums), and Ryan Peake. The name derived from the nickel
in change Mike Kroeger frequently had to give customers back in his job at a Starbucks coffee shop.
